Fellowship Work Summary, 2023–24

Sean L. Field drafted six chapters of his work in progress, Gendered Authorship and Female Sanctity in the Middle Ages. He also wrote a book chapter entitled “Clare of Rimini: A Case Study in the Circulation of Controversial Religious Claims,” for a volume to be edited by Delfi Nieto-Isabel (Routledge); entries on Isabelle of France and Agnes of Harcourt for The Palgrave Encyclopedia of Medieval Women’s Writing in the Global Middle Ages, edited by Michelle M. Sauer, Diane Watt, and Liz Herbert McAvoy (Palgrave); an entry on Isabelle of France for the Enciclopedia Francescana, edited by Attilio Bartoli Langeli and others (Istituto della Enciclopedia Italiana); and an introductory essay with Jacques Dalarun for a special issue of the journal Antonianum.
